04/01/21: Divine Mercy Novena

As you've seen on our Holy Week schedule on Good Friday (4/2), the Divine Mercy Novena begins at 3:00 p.m. This Novena is one of five forms of devotion to His divine mercy found from the vision and locution accounts of St. Faustina Kowalska's diary in the 1930's, whom our Lord titled her as Secretary of His Divine Mercy. The other forms of devotion are:

• veneration of His Divine Mercy Image,
• reciting the Chaplet,
• praying at 3 O'clock, the Hour of Great Mercy, and
• celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday / Feast day (first Sunday after Easter day).

You may learn more about the Divine Mercy Message and devotion through our Divine Mercy Devotion web page. We highly recommend watching Divine Mercy 101, also, by Fr. Chris Alar, a Marian priest of the National Shrine of Divine Mercy.

To follow our Lord's request, the St. Callistus Divine Mercy prayer group invite you to spend the Hour of Great Mercy (3 o'clock) each day for nine days with us, starting Good Friday (April 2) through following Saturday, April 10. These nine days of the novena are live-streamed. If you're unable to spend the Hour of Great Mercy with us, then please see the video of our prayers on Facebook after 4:00 p.m.

We also encourage you to sign up to receive the Divine Mercy Novena prayers. Just click on the Sign Up button below and follow the prompts.
