04/08/2021 EASTER NEWS!
1. Effective April 17-18, the church will begin augmenting the seating capacity from 25% to 50% which is roughly 85 people. Reason for this is that Contra Costa is now in an Orange Tier COVID-19 restriction. However, registration is still needed. If seating capacity is already filled up or if you don’t feel like sitting inside the church, you are most welcome to come and attend the mass, provided, you will be seated in the church courtyard. Also, you are still allowed to watch our church live-streamed mass or other live-streamed masses on Sundays. After which you can come to church for communion from 11:00-11:45am every Sunday.
2. Effective this weekend onwards, the church bell will be rung 8 times 15 minutes before each mass starts. The bell symbolizes the voice of God inviting or calling us to attend church on Sundays. Hoping and praying that we don’t ignore or drop God from our Sunday schedule. We need Him more than anything or anyone else.
3. This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. You are cordially invited to the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 3:00-4:00pm.
By the way, through the message of St. Faustina, our Lord offers a great source of mercy and grace to those who receive holy communion on Divine Mercy Sunday. The recipient must be in a state of grace, however, meaning that the Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession) is also required. Confession is available at St. Callistus on Saturdays 4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
