APRIL 9, 2023 EASTER SUNDAY OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
1st Reading: Acts of the Apostles 10:34a, 37-43
2nd Reading: Colossians 3:1-4
Gospel: John 20:1-9
It’s Easter! This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad as the psalm says. Forget your small worldly cares, your worries and concerns, and look up to see the big picture of Easter! Easter is the most beautiful story ever told because of a God who loves you and me so much that He sent His only Son into our world. He suffered and died on the cross, and rose to life in order to save us and bring us to eternal life. Because of life after death, we have found hope and meaning in this life.
Easter is not only some church event that happens only once a year. The A Passion-Death-Resurrection is an event that happens in our own lives and relationships. I pray that those who are going through a Good Friday in their lives now may soon experience an Easter morning.
Wishing you all then a Happy Easter! Wishing you all strength and courage in whatever trials, and hope and joy in whatever problems; but most of all, peace and love in your hearts and in your homes and beyond. Fresh start, new beginnings nings. Thank God for Easter. Thank God for hope and meaning. Thank God for eternal life.
